About Our Ice Cream
Where is your ice cream made?
We make our ice cream ourselves, onsite in our shops. Every batch is handcrafted using a premium dairy mix for a rich, creamy texture. Our first production space was right in our New Britain, CT location.
What makes Frisbie’s ice cream different?
We make super-premium ice cream in small batches using high-quality ingredients and a premium dairy mix for extra richness. Many of our signature flavors are inspired by Connecticut towns and crafted with premium mix-ins, house recipes, and bold flavor combinations.
Do you have dairy-free or vegan options?
Yes. We always offer dairy-free, coconut-based vegan flavors like Vegan Vanilla and Vegan Cookies & Cream. Seasonal options such as Mango Strawberry Sorbet and Lemon Ice rotate throughout the year.

No. Frisbie’s Dairy Barn is proudly family-owned and locally operated. Every shop is part of our growing community, run by real people serving handcrafted ice cream.
How can we enjoy Frisbie’s at home?
We sell take-home pints of many of our flavors. We are also available on doordash at select locations! Planning a celebration? We also offer ice cream cakes and ice cream sandwiches — perfect for birthdays, gatherings, and sweet surprises.

Are your flavors made in-house?
Yes. All of our ice cream is made onsite in small batches using our premium dairy mix. We carefully craft each flavor for bold taste and smooth texture.
Do flavors rotate seasonally?
Yes. Alongside our year-round favorites, we rotate seasonal flavors. New flavors are introduced regularly.
Do you have any dairy-free flavors?
Our always-available dairy-free flavors include Vanilla, Cookies & Cream, and Piña Colada Seasonal favorites like Strawberry Mango Sorbet and Lemon Ice rotate in, with new flavors dropping throughout the year. We do recommend asking your local shop for the most up-to-date allergen information.
Can I buy pints of your flavors to take home?
Yes. We can handpack any flavor so you can enjoy it at home!

Cakes & Catering
How do I order an ice cream cake?
You can order an ice cream cake in person in New Britain. We recommend ordering in advance to ensure availability.
How much notice do you need for cake orders?
We recommend ordering at least several days in advance. During busy seasons (spring, summer, graduation season), additional notice may be required.
Can I customize cake flavors?
No, we only offer standardized cakes at this time.

Classes & Experiences
How long are the classes?
Classes are approximately 90 minutes.
How many tickets do I need?
Each attendee must purchase their own ticket. If attending with friends, we recommend booking at the same time to secure spots together.
When do I pick up my ice cream?
Your custom gallon will be ready for pickup the day after your class.
Can kids participate?
- Standard classes are open to ages 12 and up with an adult.
- Select sessions may be labeled “kid-friendly” for ages 6+ with a parent.
Are there dairy-free options?
Most classes are not dairy-free. Occasionally, we host special dairy-free sessions that will be clearly labeled when available.
