Frisbie’s Dairy Barn was literally created at the family dinner table !
Michael Frisbie had heard many stories of Guida’s Dairy Bar that previously sat on the property he had purchased in New Britain, CT. The community missed Guida’s. He decided to attend Ice Cream University to learn how to make ice cream and to research the idea of starting an ice cream business further. Tapping into the business strengths of his family, he proved to have a strong team to bring ice cream back to New Britain and make this idea a reality. The Frisbie family opened its’ doors on July 17, 2015 to lines out the door! We were overwhelmed by the response from the community. A family business was born.
Frisbie’s makes its ice cream fresh daily in our brand new facility. We offer up to 28 flavors at a time, switching flavors seasonally. In addition to scooped ice cream, we offer delicious ice cream cakes, pies and novelties. And whenever possible, we use and support local businesses including Guida’s ice cream mix and Avery’s soda.
We hope to build a business that is fun to support, work for and partner with. We have started to build strong community ties and will continue to embed ourselves into the community through working with local schools and teams and supporting local organizations.
We would like Frisbie’s to be a fun, comfortable gathering place for the community hosting birthday parties, corporate ice cream socials, team celebrations, family gatherings…any reason for a celebration!
